Displacement sensors are optical sensors used in printing equipment, ATMs, and control equipment to detect the thickness of conveyed objects and small displacements. The sensor is equipped with a contact lever that is placed on the object, and the movement of the lever caused by changes in thickness is detected using an encoder and output as a displacement value.
