Emitter and receiver integrated type incremental encoder

Kodenshi Corp. has recently developed and started selling emitter and receiver integrated type encoders (part number KEF251250CAKEF302500CA), which output UVW phases signals for motor drive, incremental signal AB phases and origin detection signal Z phase.

Kodenshi developed 1 chip PDIC specialized for peripheral circuit necessary to encoders (interpolation and light compensation circuit
       
In addition, the parallel light LED that has been specially designed by the shape of the one-piece can reduce the number of parts and enables miniaturization. Just only assembled with code wheel to match motor shaft diameter and the number of poles, multiple models of the encoders and the encoder motor modules are achieved.

Encoder Module for Small Motor control

Kodenshi Corp. has recently developed a terminal-integrated encoder module 'KEM-101 series', which can be connected with Kodenshi encoders and small DC motor without assembly on PCB. 

Since the integrally molded terminal, it is possible to assemble with a motor easily in inserting the module into a motor, as well as the connector function built-in, which enables to reduce the number of parts as well as the assembly man-hour.
Please use the module for rotation control of small motors.

1) PCB-less, solder-less
   Since the integrally molded terminal at the connection points of motor and encoder, it can be achieved PCB-less and material reduction.
2) Dust-less
   Since not using PCB and no dust comes from PCB, it can achieve to improve robustness on products at customer side.
 3) Reducing the number of parts
   Since board and connector function are molded integrally, it can achieve to reduce the number of parts.
4) Reducing the number of assembly steps
   Since solder mounting step on board and each terminal of motor are not required, it can achieve reduce the assembly processes.
